Comox fire crews responded to a boat fire earlier this morning.
Chief Gord Schreiner says it happened at around 9 AM by the Federal Government warf in downtown Comox.
He says there was some clothing close to a heater – which caused the fire.
Schreiner says the boat suffered minor damage and that the owners were on scene but did not suffer any injuries.

Schreiner says this is one of many calls crews have responded to recently – with the Comox department being called out for upwards of 20 calls this week.
