A documentary is being screened in Courtenay tonight on an iconic Canadian band and the illness that brought its touring to an end.
Spirit Unforgettable documents the career of Spirit of the West and frontman John Mann‘s battle with early onset Alzheimers.
Band member Vince Ditrich says the original plan for the film was a retrospective but evolved as the film maker followed the band.
Ditrich will be at North Island College tonight for the screening and will hold a Q and A afterward. The film begins at 7:00 PM.
