Minor injuries to at least two people in a three vehicle crash on the Inland Island Highway earlier this afternoon–that from Courtenay Fire Department officials in confirming the MVA happened on the northbound lane of the highway, just north of the Strathcona Parkway turnoff to Mt Washington resort. Fire crews extricated one person from the wreckage, while BC Ambulance crews dispatched two vehicles and transported the crash victims to hospital. Fire officials say none of the injuries appeared to be severe and the MVA looked like a rear end accident. The RCMP continue to investigate.
