Three federal party leaders have answered some questions about the environment for the Vancouver Island & Coast Conservation Society.

President Laurie Gourlay says the issues they’re dealing with locally, in terms of climate change and sustainability, are the same issues facing the country as a whole.

Gourlay says they got responses from Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau, NDP Leader Tom Mulcair and Green Party Leader Elizabeth May.

They never heard back from the Conservatives, and the Bloq Quebecois declined comment.
