VIHA issues beach advisory for Comox Lake Campground
The weather’s a little warm, and you may want to take a dip in the lake to cool off.
But according to the Vancouver Island Health Authority, you might want to shy away from the Comox Lake Campground Beach.
Island Health spokesperson Val Wilson says current water samplings have shown high levels of bacteria in the water.
Wilson advises residents to stay away from water-based activities in the area like swimming. She says crews will continue to monitor the situation.
Wilson adds that updates will be posted to the Vancouver Island Health Authority’s website as they become available.
