Well safe to say in this case, local Mounties got their man!

RCMP Constable Don Sinclair says over a thousand bucks in merchandise was recovered in a recent Walmart heist.

The investigation continues on that shoplifting incident.

Various charges are pending after Comox Valley RCMP stopped a pickup truck after the driver blew through a red light at a city intersection.

Constable Sinclair says the suspect is now before the courts in legal proceedings.

Police received a report of a theft from a vehicle overnight of September 13th parked at a residence on the 3800 block of Marine drive in Royston.

Stolen from the vehicle was a 2.5 HP Yamaha outboard motor.

And finally, on September 14th a report of a theft of power tools from a trailer was received by the Comox Valley RCMP. The owner reports the trailer was parked at a construction site on a lot at Cliffe Avenue and 31st street in Courtenay. Several items which total over $3000.00 were stolen.
