Province to look at potential link between Sunshine Coast and Sea to Sky corridor
The province says it’s ready to pay for a study on a road or bridge link between the Sunshine Coast and the Sea to Sky corridor.
Several groups have pushed for a link in recent years, including the Third Crossing Society in Powell River, a former SCRD economic development officer, and the people behind the blog “West Howe Sound Road”.
When the blog was launched, the group’s Ryan Medd said frustration with BC Ferries is the common element.
This is the second fixed link study the province has supported…one on a bridge between Gabriola and Vancouver Island was due out in August, but the release has been delayed.
