Small earthquake hits west of Port Hardy

A small earthquake struck just west of Port Hardy early this morning, at around 6:48 AM.

It was measured at a magnitude of 5.7 and hit around 198 kilometres west of Port Hardy. There were no reports of major damage of injuries, although residents may have felt a slight shake.

This small earthquake comes after another mini quake on Tuesday morning. That one measured in at 4.4 and it is unlikely anyone felt that small earthquake.
