The Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society (MARS) caseload has doubled, and they’re in need of a new wildlife hospital.
Vice President Pearl Mackenzie says to rescue and rehabilitate wildlife, they need the proper space for all these animals.
MARS is in the works of building a new wildlife hospital and an education centre, and they’re looking to fund-raise with a goal of $220,000.
The funds would go towards building the new facility, and they’re currently seeking help from nearby cities, organizations, as well as at the federal level.

Mackenzie adds their next step after building the wildlife hospital is to build an educational centre for children and students.
