The Courtenay Fire Department has a new training centre. Fire Chief Don Bardonnex says it’s up and running, and they have been holding training exercises since it’s opened a little while ago.
Tomorrow, you can check out all the centre has to offer at an open house. Bardonnex says there will be guided tours for the public. He adds they will be lighting up the exterior props of the buildings, and they will have the new digital fire attack system up and running.
The open house runs from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
