Air Quality Advisory Lifted

The Air Quality Advisory for the Comox Valley has now been lifted.

Air Quality Meteorologist Earle Plain says the change in the weather has helped to clear the smoke from the area.

Plain says it’s not unusual to have air quality advisories this time of year with open burning happening and woodstoves being used.

He says the advisories are especially important for those who have underlying medical conditions such as asthma and heart disease.
