The road to the Comox Valley Waste Management Centre is now open.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held in Cumberland this morning to mark the completion of the Bevan Road improvement project.
Mayor Leslie Baird says the project was a partnership with the Comox Valley Regional District
in recognition of the increased deterioration of the roads from the dump trucks as they go to and from the landfill.
Baird says the work was the first of two phases.

The road work included repaving, improved sight visibility, and improved drainage.
