Two local artists have been honoured with awards for Creative Achievement in Applied Art and Design.
Cathryn Wilson with the BC Achievement Foundation says the awards are a chance to recognize excellence in applied art.
Basket-weaver Alastair Heseltine is from Hornby Island.
Shoe-maker Renee Macdonald was born in the Valley and currently lives in Vancouver.
