Comox council gives preliminary approval for Berwick expansion

Comox council has given preliminary approval for an expansion to Berwick.

The proponent is looking to add 34 suites to the facility, as well as an ambulance bay.

Ives says the original 6-story plan was presented in September, and was sent back to the developer for changes.

Ives says council has approved first and second reading, with a slightly revised plan showing a 5-story facility featuring an ambulance bay.

Ives says the public hearing will likely take place in late January of the New Year.
