MARS looking towards the New Year

The Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society (MARS) is building a new hospital.

They’re looking for funds to help build the facility to continue their work in rehabbing injured wildlife from around the Island and areas on the mainland and gulf islands.

Spokesperson Reg Westcott says the abundance of animals is one of the reasons they need to expand.

Westcott says looking into the New Year, MARS plans to continue delivering the excellent service they’re known for.

Westcott says MARS rescues wildlife from all over the Island – from the Comox Valley to Port Hardy and even nearby areas off the Island like Powell River.
