The MP for the North Island-Powell River region says the government needs to follow through with commitments to support veterans.

A recent report by Employment and Social Development Canada found more than 2200 former soldiers accessed homeless shelters across the country.

Rachel Blaney says now that the information is out, the question is what the government will do.

Blaney says she hopes the government will follow through with its commitments to reopen veterans affairs offices and hire more staff to assist former military members.
