One individual is in stable condition in hospital after their car ended up in the ocean near the Powell River ferry terminal. The incident happened yesterday.
BC Ferries says it’s not related to any of the ferries or terminals. Powell River RCMP Staff Sergeant Rod Wiebe says not much is known at this time.
Wiebe adds there were witnesses on scene. Wiebe says the witnesses said they saw a car launch itself into the ocean.
Wiebe says RCMP continue to investigate exactly what happened.
