The Comox Valley School Board has received a report on recommended changes to the district.

The report was prepared by the Acting Superintendent and includes a recommendation to close Ecole Puntledge Park.

Board Chair Tom Weber says the board will now review the report.

Also at the meeting Tuesday night, a report was presented outlining the financial challenges facing the district.

The report outlined the cost pressure contributing to the 2.4 million dollar deficit, including rising cost pressures and declining enrollment.

Board chair Tom Weber says trustees have received a lot of questions about the cost pressures the district is facing.

Both the financial presentation and the Acting Superintendent’s report will be posted to the school board’s website for the public.
