Canada continues support in fight against ISIS
The Air Task Force Commander of Canada’s mission against ISIS says crews on the ground are moving ahead with the new air mission in the region.
The Federal government fulfilled an election promise by ending the bombing missions using CF-18’s.
Colonel Shayne Elder took the time to speak with the Goat FM Newsroom about the changing mission profile for the air force.
He says Canada’s assets will continue to have a key role in supporting the mission.
Elder says he’s extremely proud of the work that crews are doing in theatre.
Elder says more than two-dozen members of 19 Wing are currently overseas supporting the mission.
