Deadlines for submission of rezoning and development applications through the Downtown Vitalization program in Comox have been extended for one year.
Mayor Paul Ives says there are two projects in the works for the town – the Lorne Hotel Project and the Berwick Expansion.
Ives says there is still money available through the program for other projects going forward. He notes there could be other properties due for redevelopment through the downtown vitalization program.
Ives says the staff deadline for getting applications in on the extension of the Downtown Vitalization program was July of this year.
