The Province is providing some funding to help connect Comox Valley students with training opportunities in tech and trades.

The funding will be used to launch the Shoulder Tappers Program.

Comox Valley MLA Don McRae says there are new and growing opportunities in the trades and high tech sectors.

McRae says the good thing is, if students develop these skills, they’ll have an abundance of job opportunities after they graduate.

The $25,000 will be used to enlist career co-coordinators or recruitment specialists to work to connect students with trades and technical training.
