Mount Washington Bike Park set to return this summer

After a 3-year hiatus, the Mount Washington Bike Park is back this summer and will be open for lift-accessed mountain biking in the Comox Valley.

Approximately $250,000 will be invested into the park this year, with representatives saying there will be enhancements each year.

Mike Manara, a 15-year Mount Washington veteran and Snow School Director, will be the Bike Park Manager. He’ll help plan and develop the trail system. Manara is one of the founding board members as well as the current President of the United Rider of Cumberland.

The Bike Park will offer trails for all ability levels, from newcomers to skilled veterans. Organizers are in the planning stages right now and trail building will take place as soon as the snow melts. The hope is to have the park open by early to mid-July.
