Mounties are reminding residents to obey all school and playground zones.
RCMP recently set up enforcement at Brooklyn Elementary in Comox and caught 11 drivers in a two hour period. Constable Rob Gardner says people need to ensure they are obeying all school and playground zone signs. Gardner notes that even 1 speeder in a school zone is one too many.
He says it’s important to know where school zones are and what all road signs mean.
Gardner says it’s important to remember that kids can be unpredictable and don’t always follow the rules when it comes to road safety.
