Comox Fire is offering emergency training to residents tomorrow (Friday, April 22).

Fire Chief Gord Schreiner says classes will be offered for both CPR and emergency preparedness.

He says both are invaluable skills to have. He notes that if somebody is having a heart attack, the quicker they can get care the better for everyone involved.

He says if there’s a major disaster in the region, it’s important that you know what you can do to help because first responders could be busier than usual and assistance would be helpful.

Schreiner says if you’re interested, you can register through the Comox Community Centre.
