Province invests $1.1 million towards protection of Comox shoreline
Now former MLA Don McRae with Comox Mayor Paul Ives and members of Comox Council
The province is committing over $1-million to a shoreline restoration and protection project in Comox.
The work will help reduce flooding and the on-going foreshore erosion adjacent to the Lazo Road shoreline.
Comox Mayor Paul Ives says this is a winning situation for the entire community.
Local MLA Don McRae says the work is very important to the community.
Mayor Ives is hopeful that the work can begin as soon as possible in the summer. He says funding has also been provided for bike paths to be constructed along the road.
