RCMP is reminding residents to take steps to keep your home secure – especially if you’re heading away for the long weekend.
Constable Rob Gardner says it’s important to make sure all your windows and doors are secure. He notes that as it gets warmer, a lot of people tend to leave windows open to let the fresh air in.
Gardner notes it’s also a good idea to avoid putting on social media that you’ll be away.
He says you should also let your neighbors know you’ll be away, so they know to be on the lookout for suspicious activity.
