Members of the public are invited to an open house today to learn about proposed treatment options for the Comox Valley water system.
Comox Valley Regional District spokesperson Marc Rutten says three treatment options will be presented.
He notes that the options all start at Comox Lake, where they’re proposing a new intake in the lake, followed by transporting the water to a filtration plant. From that plant, the water would be distributed throughout the community.
The open house will run from 4:30 to 7:30 this afternoon at the Westerly Hotel.
