The BC Government has announced it will be moving away from provincial exams for grade 12 students.

Education Minister Mike Bernier provided an update on the new curriculum, which is currently being rolled out in phases.

He says math skills and literacy will still have a provincial exam, but the others will be done through in-class assessments.

Bernier says the government will also be launching public consultations with parents over what information they want to see on their child’s progression and how they want that information delivered.
