Boomer’s Legacy

The annual Boomer’s Legacy Ride has begun. The riders left the Comox Valley this morning.

Before leaving the Valley, the riders stopped at the grave site of Andrew “Boomer” Eykelenboom, who died while serving in Afghanistan in 2006.

His mother, Maureen Eykelenboom says it’s amazing to see everyone come together for this event. She says the cyclists raised funds, all in honor of fallen military members and those serving the country.

The riders will finish in Nanaimo today and then ride to Victoria tomorrow.
