Comox Fire is offering a reward for information leading to a conviction for the person setting fires in Aspen Park Forest.
Fire Chief Gord Schreiner says crews were called out to two fires in the forest Monday night that were human-caused.
Schreiner says the department is now offering a $500 reward for information leading to a conviction.
Schreiner says RCMP will also be increasing patrols in the area. He notes that as we move forward into the summer, the issue becomes bigger and eventually, one of these fires could get away from the culprit and cause significant damage to the forest and surrounding area.
