The Strathcona Regional District is receiving funding to conduct an assessment of the Glenmore Dike in the Oyster River.

Spokesperson Patti Wells says the province is providing $80,000 dollars towards the study. Wells says it will provide them with information to determine further options for mitigation and upgrades.

Wells says they are aiming to have the RFP for the work out later this summer, with the assessment complete around the middle of next year.
