Tour de Rock riders are into their final preparations for this year’s ride.

The 2016 Tour de Rock is less than two weeks away.

North Island rider, RCMP Constable Brent Shemilt says it’s hard to believe the ride is coming up so quickly. He says he’s very excited for the ride to begin.

Shemilt says the training has help him gain confidence and prepare for what they’ll encounter on the route. He notes they’ve been caught in the rain – which is good prep for when the ride kicks off.

The Tour de Rock begins in Port Alice September 24th.
