Record rainfall for Puntledge River system

The upper Puntledge River system hit a rainfall record for October. Stephen Watson with BC Hydro says 537 millimetres of rain fell last month, the most rain we’ve received in 36 years.

He says Hydro will be spilling water to make room for the rains expected over the next few days.

Watson is urging people to stay away from the Puntledge River over the next week or so while the storm systems move through the region.
