A political scientist from the North Island says there’s a lot of uncertainty about what a Donald Trump administration will mean for both the United States and Canada.

Trump will become the 45th President, after securing a majority of Electoral College votes in Tuesday’s election. Paul Whyte says there was a missed opportunity to really listen to the anger that exists with the average middle-class, white voter.

Whyte says everyone will be paying close to who Trump appoints to his cabinet, which will show what kind of Presidency he wants to have over the next four years.
