The body of a Sunshine Coast boater has been recovered on a Texada Island beach after a Sechelt couple left Half-moon Bay on Saturday for a day of fishing off Texada.
Constable Tim Kenning says after the couple’s boat capsized, the woman managed to swim several hours to shore on Texada.
Kenning says a major investigation continues on the incident, with some details yet to be flushed out.
The massive weekend search involved CFB Comox crews along with Texada Island RCMP.
