Eric Bond is a Senior Market Analyst at CMHC and has the latest numbers…on new housing starts in the Comox Valley.
Bond chalks up a strong local homebuilding sector, to low home financing and projected growth rates in the valley. In fact BC Stats now forecasts an average of 453 new households in each year, for the next five years in the Courtenay area, triggering substantial demand for housing.
Bond says he expects that trend to continue, as more and more people move to the Comox Valley.
