2 people are dead and 2 remain in hospital after a shooting at Nanaimo’s Western Forest Products mill.
RCMP say they arrested a 47 year-old Nanaimo man — a former WFP employee — and seized a shotgun shortly after they arrived at the mill.
Company President and CEO, Don Demens, calls it a terrible tragedy.
Demens says they’ve shut down all operations on the island out of respect
for the victims.

Meanwhile Nanaimo Mayor John Ruttan says his heart goes out to everyone involved.
The Nanaimo RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit is leading the investigation and they say right now, it looks like the suspect acted alone.
