Trails
– The Courtenay Riverway / Airpark Walkway is CLOSED

With the City of Courtney closing Comox Road at both ends due to flooding the CVRD head office is closed at least until noon.

Meanwhile Comox Valley RCMP are warning the motoring public of hazardous road conditions. Checks have been done of local roadways and highways and with the heavy amount of rain that has fallen, the roadways have water pooling in areas.

The chance of hydroplaning has risen significantly with the rising water, so police are advising the motoring public to adjust their speed accordingly and please slow down. The life you are saving might be your own.
