Dog Licences Available from City of Courtenay

2018 dog licences are now available from Courtenay City Hall.

All dogs over the age of six months living in the City must be licensed.

The fee for a neutered male or spayed female is $5 a year. For non-neutered males or unspayed females, the fee is $25 per year.

Licenses expire each year on December 31st and have to be renewed. To pick up your dog license, swing by City Hall and provide your information along with your dog’s information.

Revenue from the dog licence program helps fund the City’s contract with the SPCA.

By having a dog license, it makes it easier for you to find your pet in case they get lost. You’ll also avoid an “unlicensed dog” ticket, which comes out at $100 on a first offence.
