South of Courtenay, an entangled sea lion needs some urgent help in the Fanny Bay area.
Local photographer Netonia Chatelaine says the sea lion appears to have a rope tangled around its neck and the rope is clearly digging into the flesh.
Chatelaine played a key role in the rescue of another sea lion…Kiyo, earlier this year.
Chatelaine says authorities have been contacted.
