Lighting a fire under teachers contract negotiations so a deal can be hammered out sooner rather than later.

That is the idea behind Phase One job action by Comox Valley teachers, according to Comox District Teachers Association President Steve Stanley.

Meanwhile Stanley says the BC Government’s push for a ten year contract is not realistic, and refutes allegations from the education minister that teachers are more focused on their job action strategy, than they are on inking an agreement.

Meanwhile contract talks continue between BC teachers and the government  with no sign of an agreement.
