COURTENAY, B.C- Artists will be heading to the Comox Valley campus of North Island College this month.

According to a news release from NIC, the college’s School of Fine Arts and Design is planning to welcome Rick Leong to it’s Comox Valley campus this Thursday. Leong’s visit will be the start of the Winter 2018 Artist Talk Series, held at the campus’ Stan Hagen Theatre.

The Artist Talk Series is a five-part event that is aimed at bringing in local and international artists to visit the school.

“We wanted to give the local art community and emerging artists an opportunity to meet successful artists and hear directly from them about their practice,” said NIC instructor Sara Vipond, in the release.
