COMOX VALLEY, BC- In response to an increasing population numbers in the Comox Valley, School District 71 (SD71) has developed a Long Range Facilities Plan (LRFP).
The LRFP takes a look at student growth and other factors that can have an impact on local schools.
Under the Ministry of Educations Capital Division planning and procurement process, schools boards have to develop LRFPs that support local capital projects being submitted for capital investment considerations.
Two information sessions are planned, where SD71 will present its findings and explain the LRFP to parents, students and residents.
The first session is on Tuesday, March 6th from 6-8 p.m. at Lake Trail School’s Drama Room, while the second session is on Wednesday, March 7th from 6-8 p.m., in the multipurpose room at Mark R. Isfeld.
Registration is not required for either session.
