COMOX VALLEY, B.C. – School District 71 is hosting a review session this evening for parents of students in secondary school.

Parents can share their thoughts and experiences around secondary education programs in the district. The engagement session takes place at G.P. Vanier in Courtenay from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Families of current secondary students and of children about to enter high school are encouraged to attend. The session is part of an extensive program review and will allow parents to share ideas on how high school programs can be designed and delivered to meet students’ needs.

A total of 13 programs are being reviewed during the 2017/2018 school calendar year.

Results of the engagement process will factor into the Board of Education decisions on any of the recommendations that will come out of the program review once it is completed.
