COURTENAY, B.C- A man wanted on an outstanding warrant in the Comox Valley was arrested on the weekend.

Around 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 3rd, residents of 20th Street noticed a police presence at a home along the street. According to Constable Monika Terragni, the spokesperson for the Comox Valley RCMP, police had attended to the residence to look for a man wanted on a warrant.

Officers went to the home, entered it, and located the man in question. He was arrested on his outstanding warrant.

“There was no standoff with the residents inside and police,” said Terragni.

The 36 year old man, whose name was not released by police, was held in custody to appear in court.
