0.5 hectare wildfire burning in Campbell River

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – Crews are working on a small 0.5 hectare wildfire in the Duncan Bay Main Line Road in Campbell River.

According to Dorothe Jakobsen with the Coastal Fire Centre, a helicopter has been deployed to drop water at the site.

“It’s burning underneath the power line corridor, just off the Duncan Bay Main Road, in the Casey Creek area” she said.
