Heat warning issued for parts of Vancouver Island

COMOX VALLEY, B.C. – Environment Canada has issued another heat warning for the region.

The advisory applies for East Vancouver Island, Courtenay to Campbell River. Other areas impacted include Duncan to Nanaimo, and Nanoose Bay to Fanny Bay.

Temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius are expected. Overnight minimums are anticipated to remain in the mid-teens.

Environment Canada advises staying hydrated, cool and to never leave pets or people inside of parked vehicles.
