Highway 19 getting re-surfaced this week

COURTENAY, B.C. – Starting on September 20, the travel lanes in both directions on the Inland Island Highway between Chef Creek Bridge and McLeod Road will be resurfaced to fix bumps, uneven patches, and potholes.

Authorities remind drivers to slow down during the construction period, obey traffic-control personnel, and to check DriveBC.ca for updated information.

The stretch of Highway 19 is being resurfaced to keep it in top condition for motorists travelling on the Inland Island Highway between Parksville and Courtenay.
