The LINC Haunted House offers fearful fun

COURTENAY, B.C. – Enter the LINC Youth Centre, if you dare, for a ghoulishly good time in the week leading up to Halloween.
The Comox Valley’s scariest Haunted House experience is happening soon at the centre in Courtenay.
Inside the centre you’ll encounter witches, werewolves and other eerie creatures.
Haunted House hours are Wednesday, Oct. 24 and Thursday, Oct. 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, October 27, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm., and and Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
On Halloween night, Oct. 31, younger kids and easily frightened adults are invited to Half the Fright Night from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
Admission is $2 per person or $5 per family.
The haunted house is planned and run by youth in Ghoul School, with support from LINC staff.
More than 30 local youth have been busy since September preparing for the event.
They chose the theme, made the sets and props, and are preparing to play characters in the Haunted House.
Many of the youth come back year after year to participate – some have been scaring in The LINC’s Haunted House for over four years.
Alexis Forbes, youth services coordinator at The LINC, promises this event will be the most thrilling ever.
“We had over 800 visitors for each of the last three years and due to popularity we keep getting bigger and better,” Forbes said. “Our veteran ghouls and batch of fresh blood will be sure to provide a chilling adventure for everyone.”
The Haunted House can be busy and sometimes has a line-up to enter. While you wait, enjoy The LINC and play ping pong, air hockey, dodgeball, and feast on Halloween treats.
The LINC is located at 300 Old Island Highway, near the Ryan Road intersection. For further information call The LINC 250-334-8138 or Lewis Centre 250-338-5371 or visit www.courtenay.ca/haunted
