COURTENAY, B.C- A coroner’s investigation is underway after a woman was found deceased in Courtenay this week.
According to the BC Coroner’s Service, a fact-finding investigation is in its early stages. The woman was in her 40’s, and she was found at a residence along 1st Street.
A social media posting in Courtenay indicated that police were present at the Puntledge Terrace apartments on Wednesday night, with a body removed from the building.
The identity of the woman is not being released, and the coroner’s service is looking at who died and how.
